Het kan u nauwelijks ontgaan zijn. Amerika gaat naar de stembus. Ikzelf, en dat weet u, ben fan van Obama. Ik keek nog even in mijn mailachief over mijn aanmelding voor zijn nieuwsbrief. De bevestigingsmail ontving ik op 18 mei. Maar dat was niet 2008 maar 2007. De verkiezingen in Amerika vergen een enorme inzet van mensen en geld. Fascinerend! Maar waarom Obama? Uitstraling? Barack staat voor ziektekosten voor iedereen. Buitenlandsbeleid via dialoog, anders dan oorlog. En beter voor het klimaat. Maar het is toch vooral charisma. En dat viel al op bij zijn kandidatuur voor het presidentschap. Hij kan echte verandering brengen!Morgen weten we wie de nieuwe president is.
